National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

This past September 30th marked the second federal statutory holiday to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As such, we are proud to announce that we made a donation to the Wabano Centre, an Indigenous organization here in Ottawa.

@wabano_centre was created by Indigenous people for Indigenous people. It provides quality, holistic, culturally relevant health services to First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities of Ottawa and offers a variety of programs for people of all ages as well as advocacy and support services.

Today is not a day of celebration; on the contrary, this day serves as a reminder of our responsibility to commit to ongoing education & growth and building respectful relationships with Indigenous Peoples. It’s also a day to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools. If you have the day off, we urge you to make an effort to make it meaningful.

Unparalleled Beauty respectfully acknowledges that it operates on the unceded traditional Territories of the Anishinaabe Peoples.
